WWE Payback 2020: 8 Nightmares That Could Come True
1. Randy Orton Gets His Title Rematch (And Wins)
SummerSlam's finish between Orton and McIntyre was obvious set-up for another title clash, and most predicted that'd happen at Payback. WWE haven't advertised that yet, but they could easily set something up on the night.
If they do, then here's the concern.
It's similar to one included before SummerSlam, and it'll continue to be a worry until fans are back in buildings: Drew McIntyre losing his WWE Title on a show that doesn't have a proper audience. Why is that a fear? Well, he'd be the first champ in history to go from start-to-finish in the hot seat without once wrestling in front of a live crowd.
Heel Randy wouldn't be a bad choice to replace Drew eventually, but it'd be horrible for McIntyre (a guy who literally dreamed of this as a child) to get bumped out the way without sampling that organic crowd pop as WWE Champion.
