1. Kurt Angle Ruins GUNTHER’s Reign?!

No need to rub your eyes. Shake your fist at the thought of this instead.

Payback is in Pittsburgh, and Chad Gable has long been compared to ‘Olympic Hero’ Kurt Angle. This surely won’t happen, but what a nightmare it is to think about WWE ending GUNTHER’s long Intercontinental Title reign right before he tops Honky Tonk Man’s record. Honestly, that sounds rotten.

The Imperium leader will be on 449 days come Payback, and Honky’s record is 454 days. Christ almighty, seeing him stare at the lights and give up that record-breaking distinction would be one of the worst swerves in modern wrestling history. A nice moment for Chad, sure, but no.

Angle is a fan of Gable though, and WWE might reason that having him there in PA makes sense. It's also worth pointing out that they haven't scheduled another Gable vs. GUNTHER bout for Payback just yet. There's still time. Start chewing those fingernails.
