WWE Payback 2023: 10 Things That Must Happen

9. An LA Victory? YEAH!

Apologies for the obnoxious “YEAH!”, but that made sense for the subheading. Y'know what else makes sense? An emphatic triumph over The Miz for one LA Knight. That's surely WWE’s next logical step for LA, because he must keep stacking wins en route to some form of championship early next year.

The guy’s been a breakout sensation, but he isn't some 21 year old prodigy who has decades of full-time wrestling in front of him. Knight is a 40 year old veteran who has caught fire just in time, and it'd be wise to start plugging him into big time situations as soon as humanly possible.

Payback is the next step towards that.

What would Miz gain from winning anyway? Triple H must know that LA following up on his SummerSlam multi-man triumph by beating a former WWE Champ is the way to go here. Creative would be daft to entertain anything else.
