WWE: Ranking 2013's PPVs From Worst To Best

1. Summerslam

Summerslam Card: Rob Van Dam vs. Dean Ambrose (c) for the United States Championship Bray Wyatt vs. Kane in a Ring Of Fire match. Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian for the World Heavyweight Championship Natalya vs. Brie Bella Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk in a No Disqualification match Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn vs. Big E Langston and AJ Lee in a Mixed Tag match Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena for the WWE Championship with Triple H as Special Guest Referee Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship with Triple H as Special Guest Referee After a disappointing Wrestlemania, the pressure was on the WWE to deliver at the next of its 'big four' PPVs, Summerslam, which followed on from two sterling efforts in the form of Payback and Money In The Bank. With two match of the year contenders, the show did not disappoint, with both the Daniel Bryan/John Cena and CM Punk/Brock Lesnar bouts stealing the show. Both had excellent build-ups in the weeks leading up to the event, were engaging to watch throughout and finished effectively, setting the stage for ongoing 'Authority' storyline (which has admittedly floundered in places but has seen Bryan go from strength to strength) and a lucrative rematch (that fans actually want to see) down the line respectively. Elsewhere, former tag partners Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow put on an enjoyable (if short) match, though many felt the latter's Money In The Bank briefcase should've been on the line given that it was the centrepiece of their feud, whilst veterans Christian and Rob Van Dam also put on solid displays against Alberto Del Rio and Dean Ambrose respectively. If we agree to forget that the awful 'ring of fire' match between the debuting Bray Wyatt and Kane actually happened, then this August event deservedly sits at the summit of this list.
