WWE: Ranking John Cena's 14 World Title Reigns - From Worst To Best
12. World Heavyweight Championship (2nd World Heavyweight Championship, 5th Overall) April 5, 2009 - April 26, 2009
John Cena's second World Heavyweight Championship came at WrestleMania 25 in a match with The Big Show and reigning champion Edge on the heels of losing his championship in an Elimination Chamber at No Way Out to Edge who lived up to his moniker of The Ultimate Opportunist, attacking Kofi Kingston and stealing his spot in the match after Edge had lost his WWE Championship in the opening Elimination Chamber contest. While the reign would end in its first pay-per-view defense against Edge at Backlash. The build to the match and Cena's effort in the championship match at WrestleMania 25 are what make this reign last in people's minds as it is one of the greatest WrestleMania Moments in the event's rich history. That moment came when Cena, who already had several superhuman feats of strength to his credit, hoisted not only The Big Show, but also Edge onto his shoulders momentarily before Edge was able to dive off and delivered an Attitude Adjustment to both the Big Show and Edge to close out the match and claim the World Heavyweight Championship.
