WWE: Ranking Money In The Bank Cash-Ins

2. Rob Van Dam

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02WUftADD28 Rob Van Dam won MITB at WrestleMania 22. On May 22nd, RVD became the first Mr. Money in the Bank to announce when he would cash in his contract. He scheduled an extreme rules match against WWE Champion John Cena for the second ECW One Night Stand event. He also announced that when he won the title, he would rename it the ECW World Championship. At the show, RVD defeated Cena after Edge speared the champ through a table. During the match, the referee was incapacitated and Paul Heyman made the count to end the match. Since Heyman was the official General Manage of ECW, his decision stood and RVD was also awarded the ECW Championship. As for RVD's declaration about renaming the WWE title, he decided to keep it because he liked the spinner. Unfortunately, Van Dam was arrested for drug possession and subsequently lost the WWE and ECW Championships the following week. You may be asking why this is so high on the list if the title reign was so short. The answer is two-fold. First, the atmosphere surrounding the One Night Stand event was amazing. The crowd was one of the most ruckus audiences I have ever seen at a wrestling event. I still remember the banner that read "If Cena wins, we riot!" And I believed it. And secondly, this is a list of personal preference and RVD is one of my favorite wrestlers. Thus, this is one of my favorite MITB cash-ins. Deal with it.
