1. Edge #1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBoT5QUGqQQ Edge won the very first MITB at WrestleMania 21. And he held the briefcase for nine months before cashing it in at WWE New Year's Revolution against John Cena. Unlike many of the later MITB winners, Edge never teased cashing in. Or rather, he never almost cashed in only to be thwarted by the champion or another superstar. Instead, Edge played the long con. He held onto that briefcase for so long that you forgot about it even though he carried it everywhere with him. At the time, John Cena was still in his first WWE Championship reign which he had also won at WrestleMania 21. Many fans were getting tired of Cena's long title run and were waiting for him to lose it in the Elimination Chamber. But Cena pulled out the win. Immediately following the match, Mr. McMahon came out and had the chamber raised. He announced that the show wasn't over because Edge was cashing in. It took two spears, but in the end, Edge was the new WWE Champion. This cash-in propelled Edge into the main event scene and gave him a new nickname: The Ultimate Opportunist. Edge set the standard for MITB winners and his first cash-in remains the best to date. But Dolph Ziggler is The Showoff. Maybe he can out do the original. Only time will tell. What do you think is the best Money in the Bank cash-in? Do you agree with the list? Can Dolph Ziggler outdo the prior cash-ins? Share your thoughts below.
