WWE: Ranking Randy Savage's 8 Matches At WrestleMania

8. WrestleMania 2 vs. George Steele

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWl_Hfx847Q For a lot of wrestlers, their first WrestleMania match can be pretty bad simply because they're either too young to really have a good match or not developed enough as a talent to have a bigger role on the show. In Savage's case, his WrestleMania debut happened at the 2nd event in 1986. His opponent? George "The Animal" Steele. Steele was a comedic babyface. Savage was a cowardly heel that was on the rise. He had Elizabeth in his corner, basically as a distraction for the other wrestlers. She wasn't mean, but he was and he used her to his advantage. The match only went about five minutes. Savage even hit his flying elbow, but it wasn't enough for the win because it wasn't established as his finisher at this point. He got the win by tripping up Steele and putting his feet on the middle rope. Savage would have much better matches during his career at WrestleMania.
