7. WrestleMania 6 with Sherri vs. Dusty Rhodes & Sapphire

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w31kxAALuNQ Whenever I think of this match, I always wonder why couldn't they just do Savage vs. Rhodes with the women outside the ring? No disrespect to Sherri or Sapphire, but it could hae been much better if it was just a singles match. Since it was a mixed tag, it was a bit of a comedy match and as usual, Savage did all he could to make it work. They actually did something cool at the start of the match by having Miss Elizabeth in the corner of Dusty and Sapphire. She had a huge ovation for her entrance. Savage showed that he could thrive in any kind of match whether it was an intense serious match or this kind of match where they did a lot of comedy spots and he was a heel that took it seriously. The finish involved the women. With Dusty and Randy fighting in the corner, Sapphire (who did not have wrestling experience) went at it with Sherri. Elizabeth shoved Sherri over the back of Sapphire and that led to the rollup win. It was a big deal because Elizabeth rarely got physically involved in matches. Maybe WWE didn't want to book Dusty seriously because he was the booker in the NWA before he was in WWE. They dressed him up in polka dots, made him look silly and never really used him the right way. A proper feud with Savage could have produced a better match here.
