Since the brand split, The Big Show hasn't been seen much on Raw. At 44 years of age, it makes sense to believe the giant is winding down his active in-ring career, certainly from a full-time perspective. Facing Seth Rollins this week, Show was brought out by Kevin Owens for the match.

Along the way, WWE's creative team missed a trick. Quite easily, the writers could have explained Big Show's appearance as one agreed upon due to his previous status as Chris Jericho's tag-team partner. Not only would that have made sense, it could also have helped make the big man relevant again in 2016.

Owens should have been the one to announce such news, instead of the confusing reality that Big Show didn't question KO's motives. Going further, the veteran could have linked up with JeriKO in the short term, acting as a bodyguard of sorts to the duo.

Big Show has great comedy timing, so it wouldn't have been difficult to incorporate him into what Owens and Jericho are doing. As things stand, this was a one-off appearance and largely acted as throwaway.
