WWE Raw Oct 2 Sasha Bayley Callback

Sasha Banks and Bayley are unquestionably the two most fashion-conscious performers on the current roster when it comes to letting their ring attire tell a story beyond the story.

Their latter NXT story arc and Bayley's Battleground 2016 main roster soft launch contained numerous Easter eggs for the eagle eyed, and their current uneasy alliance has done exactly the same.

The potential cracks in their foundations were highlighted by the commentary team this week, following Sasha's standoffish attitude towards 'The Hugger' last week after the pair yet again failed to get back in the Women's Title hunt. They combined to defeat Emma and Nia Jax all the same, and took much the same route in a pedestrian win over the Aussie and her latest partner Alicia Fox.

As if to underline that everything is definitely definitely fine and they're definitely definitely not on rocky ground, you guys, the pair wore gear that not only colour-matched, but also served to remind fans of the aforementioned roaring Battleground success a year ago. Mimicking their colours and poses from that memorable night was another act of self-counsel from the fractious females as they cling to a thread of friendship that soon simply has to snap.
