WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (Jan 9)
7. Karl Anderson On Commentary Put Over The Club Better Than WWE Have
Since welcoming Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows into the fold as 2016 began, WWE have had a haphazard relationship with the tag-team. At first, Gallows and Anderson were aligned with AJ Styles as The Club. Whilst this was a fine role for the duo, they've been up and down since the brand split in July.
Moving away from Styles, the former 4-time IWGP Tag-Team Champions have flirted with comedy during feuds against The New Day and the team of Enzo Amore and Big Cass. This hasn't been too popular with live crowds, Gallows and Anderson are much better when they're allowed to be smash-mouth heels who take no prisoners.
As stereotypical a concept as it is, this heel dynamic fits the team perfectly. Those tuning into the guest commentary during Sheamus vs. Gallows would have noticed Karl Anderson doing a better job getting that point over than WWE's booking team have in the past year.
Talking up the team's time in Japan, Anderson accidentally put a spotlight on WWE's naff booking of the unit since the Summer.
