WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (March 14th)

4. Raw Is 2002

Triple H and Dolph battled at the top of the second hour, and though the former two-time World Heavyweight Champion put up a good fight, HHH picked up the win cleanly after hitting a Pedigree. For the second show in a row, Triple H had pinned one of the company's most popular stars. The series of victories is reminiscent of late 2002, when Triple H was declared Raw's World Heavyweight Champion and soon went on a reign of tyranny, scoring seriously disappointing victories over the likes of Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy. Fourteen years later, the company still has some major issues when it comes to pushing stars that the fans like. Then and now, those decisions would have been forgivable if there were some kind of sensible endgame in the works - but there isn't. Back then, Triple H just continued to win and win and win. Today, he's gearing up to put over Roman Reigns - who still won't be popular after scoring victory. When it comes to proper planning, not much has changed. The bores rule the roost.
