WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (May 16)
7. Stop The Music
When Chris Jericho found out that Dean Ambrose wanted to speak to him in the ring on Raw, he was expecting an apology for the destruction of his jacket. At the top of the first hour, "The Lunatic Fringe" called Jericho out, but it wasn't to apologize. After a (fantastic) promo by Y2J, Ambrose challenged him to the first-ever Asylum match.
A steel cage (which was well-avoided by the cameras earlier in the show) descended from the ceiling, but it wasn't any cage. This one was shorter than a standard cage, and placed along the top were different weapons and tools - there was a straitjacket, a barbed wire 2x4, a mop and bucket, and even another potted plant. There was no escape, according to Ambrose, and no rules.
The whole thing was actually kind of cool - or it would have been, if it wasn't for some really strange music playing in the background. That made the whole thing a bit corny, and gave it the feel of TNA at its most, ahem, "creative." Once that music stopped and Ambrose's hit, things got a bit better.
