After Raw's opening segment, it was announced that five Money in the Bank qualifying matches would take place on the broadcast. The first - Sheamus versus Sami Zayn - immediately followed the first commercial, and it was an exciting match. Sheamus dominated for a while, but Zayn fought back with a lariat and a Michinoku Driver, and then hit the Helluva Kick for the win.

It was great to see Zayn get a win - especially over a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Money in the Bank winner - but it's not going to take "The Likable One" too far. The Money in the Bank gimmick is tailor-made for a heel, and of the few babyfaces who have won the briefcase, some (Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, for instance), actually used their cash-in to turn.

Sami Zayn's a babyface and likely to stay a babyface for the foreseeable future, so a win at Money in the Bank doesn't seem likely. That'll mark a fourth straight PPV loss for Zayn, after WrestleMania (Ryder won the ladder match), Payback (he lost to Kevin Owens), and Extreme Rules (Miz won the four-way). Hopefully this summer brings some wins with it.
