5. A Shaky Alliance
At Extreme Rules, Charlotte defended the Women's Championship against Natalya in a submission match. As per a pre-match stipulation, Ric Flair was barred from ringside, but Dana Brooke ended up providing a distraction that helped Charlotte pick up the win.
An alliance with Charlotte seemed like a good fit for Brooke, who was brought to Raw two weeks ago to continue her NXT pairing with Emma. Unfortunately, Emma immediately suffered a back injury and looks to be out for a while, robbing Brooke of her storyline.
The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer has already reported that the Charlotte-Brooke pairing is scheduled to lead to a feud between the women, and apparently, WWE is wasting no time. The trio came out on Raw to kick off the second hour, and Charlotte was already putting herself over at Brooke's expense, lauding her for having the sense to join up with the Women's Champion.
Brooke, meanwhile, professed her enthusiasm for a sharing a ring with Ric Flair. That prompted Charlotte to turn her attention to her father, then fire him from her employ. Brooke was upset about that, and so the women already seem to be on rocky ground.
