WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (May 23)

2. Too Sweet Me, Bro

Prior to his Money in the Bank qualifying match with Kevin Owens, AJ Styles took the microphone to speak about his loss to Roman Reigns. Styles gave Reigns credit for being good, but said that if it wasn't for the interference from The Usos, Gallows, and Anderson, he'd be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

That brought out Anderson and Gallows, who were none too happy with Styles's lack of gratitude. Styles claimed that this wasn't Japan and things were different, but that prompted Gallows to claim that he and Anderson were responsible for even getting "The Phenomenal One" to Extreme Rules in the first place.

Styles was annoyed and suggested that, despite their friendship, the three men should go their separate ways professionally. Styles offered the "Too Sweet" hand gesture as a sign of peace, but The Club rebuffed him, saying they were no longer brothers or friends before walking out.

It was funny to see Styles use the gesture, which was originated by The Kliq and popularized by The New World Order. Bullet Club adopted it and continues to use it, but WWE wasn't always so happy with that arrangement - in fact, last year rumors were swirling that the company was considering litigation to stop New Japan's wrestlers from using the symbol.

Of course, things are different when they happen under WWE's auspices, but it's funny to see the "Too Sweet" gesture come full circle.
