WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (Oct 9)
2. London Calling
It may have been as a result of an abysmal elimination encounter, but Emma grasped victory from the jaws of defeat in Raw's semi-main event to earn a spot at Tables, Ladders and Chairs against the debuting Asuka.
The safest bet in all of wrestling, there's absolutely no chance the 'Empress Of Tomorrow' is losing in her maiden main roster encounter. But the manner in which she wins is as important as the result itself, and there were few matches in her NXT run as powerful as her epic TakeOver: London brawl with Emma.
Strange bedfellows made perfect opponents, with Emma utilising the ringside assistance of Dana Brooke in a futile grasp at victory before Asuka eventually put her away in one of the best matches on a loaded card.
WWE could elect to offer Asuka a pedestrian victory to signal her full arrival, but a retread of that encounter move-for-move wouldn't remotely disappoint.
