In the main event of this weeks RAW broadcast, The Shield were forced to run the gauntlet of mid-carders thrown at them in numerous fashion by The Authority, a punishment for Roman Reigns having speared Triple H last week on RAW. So the entire unit was fed to the mid-card, which they dispatched with relative ease, only to find themselves suffering a beatdown at the hands of an Evolution reunified to end the show. Is it 2003 all over again? Does anyone even care that this group is back together? Why is Triple H still involved in weekly matches with other talent now that Wrestlemania has come and gone? I am all for Hunter coming and going around Wrestlemania season, much like The Undertaker, but this thing with Orton and Batista just feels forced. It feels like a placeholder for now, biding time until Brock Lesnar is back for SummerSlam, and the only way to justify still having Batista around through the Guardians Of The Galaxy premiere in August. http://youtu.be/Qlke8vQq8oU I suppose the reformation of Evolution served its purpose this week: keeping The Shield in the main event face role, while having Orton, Batista, and Helmsley garner a ton of heat with the final segment.
