WWE RAW 9/23/2013 Review: 5 Things We Learned

wwe-raw-logo As we enter the final push towards the next WWE PPV, recently re-titled Battleground, the card has yet to really come together and we continue in a holding pattern of sorts. However, here are 5 things we learned following RAW this week:

5. CM Punk Comes Home

This week RAW was held in CM Punk's hometown of Chicago, and in fitting fashion, the hometown hero was welcomed home with open arms, blowing the roof off the arena as he made his entrance. Punk went on to cut another fantastic in-ring babyface promo, tying his journey that seeks redemption against Paul Heyman alongside the trip the Chicago Blackhawks took to win the NHL Stanley Cup last year. Punk continues to be the top babyface of the company. But more importantly, he is turning the corner from top face...into WWE legend. All of the work he has done in the past 2 years, from becoming WWE Champion through this great run against Paul Heyman and his Paul Heyman guys. CM Punk is putting on a master class on how to be a great overall wrestling performer. Everyone, from WWE talent to the WWE Universe, should be paying attention and enjoying this ride he is taking us on...for this is history in the making.
