Admittedly, the 'Ugandan Giant' Kamala didn't actually appear in person on the first Monday Night Raw show. Instead, a pre-tape from WWF Superstars was shown, mainly to further the babyface turn that the character was going through. His 'handlers', Harvey Wippleman and Kim-Chee, admonished the big man for refusing to further punish a jobber he had just defeated. Played by Jim Harris, Kamala is a character that's fondly remembered by many. By his own admission, Harris wasn't a technical master between the ropes, but he did serve as an intimidating sight when working under the cannibalistic person. The idea of turning the character babyface was a strange one, and it'd be the last role Harris played in the WWF. A short run with WCW followed, before Kamala found his niche working the independent circuit and occasionally returning to WWE for special appearances. He has worked for the likes of TNA and Ring Of Honor, amongst other promotions. As of right now, Harris is unable to wrestle. In 2011, his left leg was amputated, and his right leg followed suit the next year.
