WWE Raw Debut Wrestlers: Where Are They Now?

6. Jim Duggan

Known as 'Hacksaw', Jim Duggan was an oddball babyface who had a measure of popularity that's hard to explain. It's genuinely difficult to present why fans went nuts for the guy, but they loved his chants of 'Hooooo' and 'USA'. Carrying his trademark 2x4 piece of wood to ringside with him, Duggan had returned to prominence by early 1993 following a spell during which his career took a noticeable dip. On the first Ra w ever he cut a promo regarding the Royal Rumble, but strangely didn't even appear in the match. He'd leave the company later that year and head to WCW. Rumours suggested that Duggan was only hired to placate Hulk Hogan, whom he was great friends with away from the ring. He'd continue working for the promotion on and off up until 1999. After that run, Duggan worked on the independent circuit, but also made many appearances for both TNA and WWE, and actually had a short full-time run with Vince's company in the mid-2000s. More often than not, he was used as comic relief. In 2011, he was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame, and now works for Global Force Wrestling in a legends role.
