WWE Raw In 2004: 10 Best Moments
6. Lita And Trish Stratus Main Event Raw
The Trish Stratus versus Lita rivalry really kicked off in 2004, with the blonde Canuck sticking her nose in the flame-haired Floridian's business, namely her nightmare relationship with Kane.
The two had gone one-on-one many times in the past and it was in fact their feud in 2000 that really turned them into superstars in the eyes of many. Back then, the two were rather limited in terms of what they could do together in the ring, but it was a different story in December of '04.
After a few months of build, the two finally got to square off with Trish's Women's Championship on the line. Not just that, but the match would main event Raw, which was a first (Lita had won the Women's Title in the main event of the August 21st 2000 Raw but the focus was on The Rock, Triple H and Kurt Angle).
This time it was just Trish and Lita, on their own, wrestling a competitive, distraction-free match for the Women's Title. The two had a good, 10-minute match which ended when Lita hit a Twist of Fate and a moonsault to become the new champion.
Her reign was short and unremarkable, yes, but it was a good moment nonetheless. At that point, the two women deserved to be in the headline slot, even if just for one night. They'd earned it.
