WWE RAW Review: 5 Things We Learned (June 2, 2014)
3. Daniel Bryan Will Return At The 2014 Money In The Bank PPV
Last night on RAW, Stephanie McMahon took to the ring and cut a rambling promo about a lot of things, but most importantly she addressed Daniel Bryan and the status of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Stephanie announced that in 4 weeks Daniel Bryan will return to WWE at the Money In The Bank PPV, and he will either defend the title against Kane (*sigh*) in a Stretcher Match, or the title will become vacant and then be decided in the Money In The Bank Ladder match. http://youtu.be/KZptAUQbThk This announcement, while not ideal with Kane being involved, solves several issues. First, it allows Bryan a few more weeks to heal by staying out of the ring until the pay per view, and secondly it answers the question of how many contracts will be awarded this year for title shots as a result of winning the Money In The Bank Ladder Match. It appears as though WWE will continue to consider both the World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE Championship a unified title despite still not debuting a new belt for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. I vote for the vacated title match.
