WWE RAW Review: A Great Show Overshadowed By A New Belt
JACK SWAGGER STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS Jack Swagger and Zeb Coulture deliver a State of the Union address that essentially boiled down to Alberto Del Rio is Mexican and Swagger is American. Lets bring the belt back to MURICA! YEE-HAW IMMIGRANTS! As bad as that sounds, it actually wasnt awful. Its not great by any means but Ill give credit to the WWE for actually going with the white guy being the racist one in a feud. Typically, its the Jinder Mahals or Nation of Dominations who get the prejudice heel-heat, but it is refreshing (not in a good way but still, progress?) to see them taking a somewhat ballsy approach. I was worried they would try to take the gimmick too far, but they are doing a great job of towing the line between what is taboo and what is acceptable. They arent saying or doing anything blatantly offensive so it works. If next week, they do a skit where Swagger wears a sombrero to the ring with Zeb playing Border Patrol, then we might have issues.
