WWE RAW Review: A Great Show Overshadowed By A New Belt

JACK SWAGGER STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS Jack Swagger and Zeb Coulture deliver a State of the Union address that essentially boiled down to €œAlberto Del Rio is Mexican and Swagger is American. Let€™s bring the belt back to €˜MURICA! YEE-HAW IMMIGRANTS!€ As bad as that sounds, it actually wasn€™t awful. It€™s not great by any means but I€™ll give credit to the WWE for actually going with the white guy being the racist one in a feud. Typically, it€™s the Jinder Mahals or Nation of Domination€™s who get the prejudice heel-heat, but it is refreshing (not in a good way but still, progress?) to see them taking a somewhat ballsy approach. I was worried they would try to take the gimmick too far, but they are doing a great job of towing the line between what is taboo and what is acceptable. They aren€™t saying or doing anything blatantly offensive so it works. If next week, they do a skit where Swagger wears a sombrero to the ring with Zeb playing Border Patrol, then we might have issues.
