WWE RAW Review: CM Punk Urns Respect

DOLPH ZIGGLER VS CHRIS JERICHO This was a good match. Not as great as past encounters, but not a bad RAW opener. Ziggler did lose again, but after seeing him win the past two weeks, the WWE didn€™t want to spoil Ziggler fans by giving them too many wins. Also, there is no shame in tapping out to the Lion Tamer. I love when Chris Jericho actually modifies the Boston Crab into the back-bending-knee-on-the-head-painful-hold that he does sometimes. There is nothing I hate more than seeing Jericho do a vanilla Boston Crab and the announcers go crazy over it. That€™s not the Walls of Jericho/Lion Tamer. After the match, Ziggler has Big E attack Jericho. Big E hits his finisher on Jericho and leaves him in the ring. Fandango (with girl in tow) make his way back to the ring and gets some revenge on Jericho. He hits a huge jumping leg-drop from the top rope. He then says his name and drops the mic. During this encounter, Jericho can be heard saying €œDon€™t say anything€ to Fandango which was clearly direction being given to the youngster. Fandango chose to ignore the direction of the veteran though and said his name. It probably would have been more impactful had he not said his name, but it€™s a minor thing. This interaction has lead to Fandango VS Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania. Yep, that€™s right; Fandango is officially debuting at Wrestlemania. I€™m glad that Johnny Curtis gets this opportunity, but I would hate to see him jobbed out at his first match and at Wrestlemania nonetheless. This match has me interested although I am confused as to why it is happening at all. MARK HENRY VS THE USOS We all remember the motto of €œTWO IS GREATER THAN ONE!€ that rang out last summer as jobbers from across the country tried to take down Ryback. Maybe two second-generation jobbers would be greater than The World€™s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. No, no they are not. The Usos got in about 10 seconds of offense before being World€™s Strongest Slammed into Oblivion (I€™m talking about the actual location in Cyrodil, that€™s how hard they got slammed). Mark Henry looks super strong headed into his Hoss Match at Wrestlemania against Ryback. My favorite part of this match was Mark Henry hitting a Uso with a splash and then yelling €œNO ONE SPLASHES ME!€ That€™s the same mindset I employ at the local swimming pool.
