WWE Reading Live Review: 10 Interesting Observations You Need To Know

9. "Bo" Maddox

Brad Maddox continued his run of house show action Sunday night, coming to the ring and pledging his allegiance to Bo Dallas. So strong was his bo-lief in the former NXT champion that, as of 2:00pm ET that afternoon, he had officially changed his name to Bo Maddox. Do not look for that to become part of weekly television. After all. Maddox has not regularly been on Raw or SmackDown since he was fired as general manager back in 2013. With that said, it was a great little bit of on-the-fly booking by whichever agent was in charge of putting together Sunday's show. Had the angle occurred on Raw, the Hollywood writers that over-book the shows would have come up with some perplex scenario in which Maddox produced legal paperwork to document the change. Here, he simply made then announcement, then knelt down before Dallas, mimicking his Tebowing pose. Maddox and Dallas would go on to lose to Macho Mandow and Axelmania, but it was the pre-match segment and the bit of effort by management to give fans a reason to care about Maddox and his pairing with Dallas that really helped elevate the match from also-ran undercard tag bout to fun and energetic wrestling match.
