WWE Release Big Cass... Where Did It All Go Wrong?

Enzo Amore Big Cass SummerSlam

The next night on RAW he crocked himself in a street fight with Enzo and that was that for eight long months. Absence, sadly, did not make the heart grow fonder and his eventual return categorically underwhelmed.

Basically, in the time he was off our screens, Braun Strowman changed the entire game for big men in WWE. The man is so entertaining, and used so effectively, that it’s no longer enough to simply be a “big man”. The goalposts have moved, and they’ve moved beyond Colin Cassidy.

His underwhelming promos aside, none of these on screen problems are really his fault though - they’re ultimately a product of his booking - but persistent rumours of backstage issues will have only made things worse.

Reports have stated that his aggressively pro-Trump political stance made him quite an unpopular figure in the locker room, and that he was, let’s just say "over-indulging", on the recent European tour.

And yeah, just like that, he’s gone...
