WWE Releases 2020-2021: Where Are They Now?

53. Bobby Fish

Bobby Fish
IMPACT

Released: 6 August 2021

Now: Go out of your way to see Bobby Fish debut in IMPACT before a...totally unflattering live crowd reaction. The company treated Fish's arrival like AEW did CM Punk's last year, but it was so low key that it was actually pretty embarrassing.

The former Undisputed Era/Elite man must be wondering where it all went wrong.

52. Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed JONAH
WWE

Released: 6 August 2021

Now: Things looked bright for Bronson Reed on NXT, and many figured he'd eventually get a shot on the main roster. WWE shockingly cut him in August 2021 though, and their loss was very-much New Japan's gain. That has been Jonah's bread and butter promotion since.

He also had a short stay in IMPACT post-WWE.

51. Harry Smith

Davey Boy Smith Jr

Released: 4 November 2021

Now: Christ knows what Harry's brief WWE return was all about in the summer of 2021. Davey Boy Smith's lad worked some dark matches before SmackDown, but never appeared on-screen before being released from his contract.

It was back to the grind for Smith after that, and he's currently with the NWA.

50. Mercedes Martinez

Mercedes Martinez NXT
WWE.com

Released: 6 August 2021

Now: Veteran Mercedes Martinez is the current ROH Women's Champion and sporadically shows up on AEW programming with her prize. Martinez can be proud of how she's managed to bounce back from WWE disappointment by finding firm footing in All Elite's sister promotion.

Long may that continue.

49. Tucker

Tucker WWE
WWE.com

Released: 15 April 2021

Now: It's fairly quiet on the 'Tucky' front post-WWE.

Otis' old Heavy Machinery partner turned heel on him, but that didn't do much for his career prospects in the company. Vince McMahon put a line of red pen through his name in April 2021, and that was a wrap on his federation run. The dude's had a handful of bouts on the independent scene this year.
