WWE Reportedly Avoiding 'Live' Branding For WrestleMania 36

'We're (not) live, pal!'

Post Wrestling has reported that WWE are circulating a memo throughout the company asking everyone to refrain from saying that WrestleMania 36 will be live.

Commentators are being told not to use lines like, "streaming live" or "live on the WWE Network" when promoting the multi-night event before 4/5 April. Instead, they're instructed to use the tagline, "Too Big For One Night" as a replacement.

This is possibly tied to speculation that the company might tape some 'Mania matches in the Performance Center before early-April. If they do, then reports will surely leak online, and the commentary team would look pretty silly if they were heard saying, 'We're live for WrestleMania!'.

It's been said before, but it's worth repeating. This is all rather strange.

The blurb for AJ Styles vs. The Undertaker on WWE's official website was changed recently too. It originally said fans could see the match "streaming live on WWE Network". Now, it simply reads, "streaming on WWE Network" - the word "live" has been removed completely.

Expect to hear a lot of that "Too Big For One Night" phrase over the next few weeks.
