WWE Road to Wrestlemania 29: CM Punk Destroys The Undertaker, Kane's Paul Bearer Tribute

The Shield vs Sheamus, Randy Orton, Ryback/Big Show

Seth Rollins faced Big Show on Monday Night, in what was the first official singles match for a member of The Shield. It didn't last long though, with Big Show deciding to get in there first by attacking the other two members. This of course led to the three men beating down the World's Largest Athlete, finishing with a triple powerbomb. The Shield weren't done there though, and later on after Randy Orton and Sheamus had beaten Team Rhodes Scholars, The Shield would come out again and beat down Orton and Sheamus on stage. Then on Smackdown, The Shield would finally come out to challenge Orton and Sheamus to an official match at Wrestlemania, telling them they could choose any third partner they wanted. Big Show would later tell Orton and Sheamus that he wanted the spot, however the two had apparently already chosen Ryback to fill it. Booker T made the match official, and again The Shield attacked Orton and Sheamus. All the build has of course been for Big Show to be involved in this match though, and I would still very much expect for that to be the case. Ryback was later set to face Mark Henry (more on that later), but The Shield came out and attacked him, again hitting their patented triple powerbomb. With Ryback already destined to be in a match elsewhere and Big Show now very much a part of this storyline, this looks a lot like an attempted swerve, with Big Show set to step in for Ryback at some stage for the Wrestlemania match. The Shield are very much on top at the moment, with the advantage over their opponents well established. That fact alone worries me that they may be set to lose at Wrestlemania with the face team finally putting them in their place, but hopefully that is just me looking too much into it. There are plenty of ways this could work out, with Big Show abandoning the other two, or even the rumoured Randy Orton heel turn seeing him betray the others. Alternatively this might just be a way for WWE to continue to establish Sheamus as a top face, by having him be the man who finally ends The Shield's dominance. Prediction: At the moment The Shield look by far the stronger and more dangerous, but whether that will still be the case after their Wrestleamania match is another matter. Sheamus could pick up the win for his team.
