WWE Road to Wrestlemania 29: CM Punk Destroys The Undertaker, Kane's Paul Bearer Tribute
Dolph Ziggler/Big E Langston vs Daniel Bryan/Kane
On Monday Night Raw, something amazing happened. Not only were Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan given the TV time to put on a fantastic TV match - the second in three weeks after CM Punk v John Cena on Feb 25 - but Dolph actually picked up a win. And then, would you believe it, Dolph pinned the man who had just beaten CM Punk, Bryan's tag team partner, Kane on Smackdown. That is some serious momentumn by his recent standards. While Dolph was busy doing that, his enforcer Big E also got involved, laying out Bryan after the match on Monday and then brawling with him during the Dolph vs Kane match on Smackdown. With no other obvious opponents awaiting Kane and Daniel Bryan for the Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania, it seems WWE will put Dolph and Big E Langston together as a team and give them the shot. With the history between Bryan and Kane with AJ Lee, there is at least an interesting dynamic to the storyline. While both Ziggler and Bryan deserve to be higher up the card, it is at least a relief to see Dolph getting a match, and if he and Bryan are given the time to work together, they will put on a clinic, and could quite easily steal the show. The downside of course is that it seems creative have no idea what to do with Dolph, hence putting him in a probably short term story, and also the fact that other tag teams will be ignored. With the recent return of the NAO, it seemed there might be a revival in the tag team division again, especially with Rhodes Scholars also reuniting. Throw in Prime Time Players, Tensai and Brodus, Primo and Epico, The Usos and 3MB, and you have some genuine tag teams not getting a shot. Whether the fractures between Kane and Daniel Bryan will continue to show or not is another question. The time has come for them to go their separate ways, and it seemed at first they were building towards a match between the two after a falling out. Perhaps they will drop the belts before Wrestlemania and that will still happen, but time is running out if that is the plan. As for Dolph, this could still just be a smokescreen to cover up the possibility of him cashing in his Money in the Bank contract in New Jersey. Prediction: Expect a match for the tag titles between Team Hell No and Dolph and Big E, either at Wrestlemania or prior to it. The titles could go either way, depending on what the plans are for Team Hell No and Dolph at and beyond the big show.
