The Shield vs Sheamus/Randy Orton/Big Show
Just like the two feuds before it, the build between The Shield and Team Face has reached the end of its line and is looking tired. They have essentially done the same thing on repeat for the last few weeks, and hoped Big Show's semi face turn would keep people interested in the storyline. Despite all that, the match could be a show-stealer on the night if done correctly, and provides a huge opportunity for the young members of The Shield to deliver a statement. On Raw, Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show faced 3MB (again), soon seeing them off as they each hit their finisher. After the match, The Shield came halfway down the arena steps and stopped for a staredown with their three opponents. Dean Ambrose, brilliant as always on the mic, threatened Team Face, with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns following up with their usual patter. This of course would all be much more intimidating for Team Face if The Shield had been on top against them at least once since they got together, but never mind. Win or lose, WWE needs to find something new to do with The Shield after Wrestlemania, as there are only so many three-man teams they can face, and already those teams are getting weaker. Hopefully they can win at Wrestlemania and then start challenging for titles as a unit, perhaps trying to claim the tag titles and midcard titles and defending them under the Freebird rule. If they lose, it will be interesting to see where WWE take them, whether it is as a unit or if they split them up and push one of them individually. Hopefully at Wrestlemania, with the spotlight on them and facing three proven names, Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns can grasp the opportunity to show their worth.
Prediction: The face team of Orton, Sheamus and Big Show have been very much on top in the build-up to their match, but perhaps The Shield will get it together for Wrestlemania, and will win by any means necessary. Really, The Shield have to win this one.
