WWE Road to Wrestlemania 29: Triple H Puts Career On The Line Against Brock Lesnar

The Undertaker vs CM Punk

CM Punk continued to not so much just push, but smash right through the line of decency this week, with his continued use of Paul Bearer's recent death to get beneath The Undertaker's skin. With rumours that CM Punk is physically beaten up at the moment, the Straight Edge Saviour looks like he is getting a rest in the build up to Wrestlemania, being pulled out of all live shows and kept out of the ring this week on Raw. Instead The Undertaker came out, demanding that Punk return Bearer's urn that he stole last week. Taker said that Punk had sealed his fate at Wrestlemania by making this personal between them - but the rest of us are thrilled he did, because this feud is already so much more compelling. Before The Phenom can continue, we hear an impersonation of Paul Bearer ring out around the arena, before Punk appears on screen with the urn, doing his best 'OOOOhhhhh noooooooo' Bearer voice. Punk continues to act like Bearer is talking to him through the urn, all the time juggling the urn around and treating it like a toy. After saying he will beat The Streak Punk drops the urn, and it looked like a legitimate accident, with Punk heard to say "oh sh*t!". The camera cut to Taker looking his usual angry self. While the story didn't get as much focus this week as it did the week before, and the work that went into it was nowhere near as strong, it still continues to be the most engaging of the three main events, with Taker having a legitimate reason to want to hurt Punk now, and Punk doing a great job of playing the arrogant, disrespectful, younger man to push Taker to breaking point. Punk's point that if Taker gets disqualified it still counts as a loss was smart, and perhaps we will see Punk continue to provoke The Phenom in the hope he will snap at Wrestlemania. Prediction: While the odds still seem massively in favour of The Undertaker continuing his streak, each week a small part of me thinks there is slightly more and more chance that Punk could be the one to make it 20 - 1.
