WWE Road to Wrestlemania 29: Triple H Puts Career On The Line Against Brock Lesnar

WWE Championship: The Rock (c) vs John Cena

Once again The Rock, the WWE Champion in case you forgot, was busy elsewhere promoting his movies, so we were left with a bizarre opening segment that saw Cena repeating much of what he has said before about The Rock, before being interrupted by Darren Young, accompanied by Titus O'Neil dressed as his uncle. Funny as it might have been momentarily, it went pretty much nowhere until Young made a dig about Cena losing last year to The Rock, and so Cena agreed to fight him. As predictable as a match possibly could be, Cena quickly defeated Young. I guess the point was to keep Cena looking strong and focused, but even for the face of WWE it is going to be terribly difficult to get people invested in a feud when his opposite number is not even on the same continent. Perhaps next week will be their turn in the spotlight, but until then, this week was another write off. Prediction: Still cannot see beyond Cena taking the win and the title.
