WWE Road to Wrestlemania 29: Triple H Puts Career On The Line Against Brock Lesnar
Tag Team Titles: Team Hell No/Kane and Daniel Bryan (c) vs Dolph Ziggler and Big E. Langston
In another match that checked the predictability box this week, Team Hell No picked up a win over Primo and Epico, despite the appearance of AJ Lee to skip around the ring in an attempt to distract her two former boyfriends. Despite its obvious ending, the point of the match seemed to be to highlight that the tag team champions are a unit again and stronger than ever. That might seem a bit strange considering only a couple of weeks ago they seemed to be gearing up for a fall out and match between the two, but perhaps creative have decided to hold fire on that one for now. After Dolph picked up wins over Bryan and Kane last week, with Big E. taking both men out afterwards, Ziggler also picked up another win this week over Kofi Kingston. Kingston and Ziggler always manage to put on fantastic matches, and if you haven't seen this one yet, make sure you do. Once Dolph had picked up his win, Kane and Bryan came out to the stage to tell him and Big E. that it was thanks to them that they were back on the same page. Having seen what Big E. could do outside of the ring, the tag team champs said that it was time to see what he could do inside the ring, and challenged the pair to a match. AJ accepted on their behalf, as long as the tag titles were on the line and the match took place at Wrestlemania 29. With a joint chant of 'Yes', Team Hell No happily accepted. On Smackdown, Dolph picked up another win over Kofi, with Big E. taking the high flyer out after the match. Despite the fact it has been thrown together a little, I actually have no problem with this match. Dolph and Bryan are always fantastic in the ring together, Kane continues to be one of the best big men workers in the WWE, and it will be a chance to see what Big E. can do without exposing his lack of experience on the big stage. What it means for Ziggler's chances of cashing in his Money in the Bank contract remains to be seen, but his briefcase has been conspicuous by its absence the past couple of weeks. This might be just because they want to focus on the tag match, or it might be WWE attempting to surprise people when he reappears with it at Wrestlemania. The match is also one of the more unpredictable matches on the Wrestlemania card, which is a refreshing change. Kane and Daniel Bryan could lose the titles and fall out, leading to a future feud between the two. Or they could retain the titles and Dolph would be left to cash in his briefcase later in the night (depending on how the card order pans out on the night). This is one to just sit back and enjoy. Prediction: It all depends what else happens on the night, but at present my money would still be on Team Hell No retaining and continuing their lengthy reign.
