5. Yokozuna
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGZaqMgjWAo In a promo before a match with Yokozuna, the Hulkster proclaimed: "I've got Yokozuna right in the center of the ring, brother. All the training, all the prayers, all the vitamins . . . As I step in the ring, by crook or by hook, I'll put that big man down! Whatcha gonna do, when America and its largest guns, run wild on you!" Yokozuna was accompanied by his manager Mr. Fuji, who was known to bring a bucket of salt and throw it into opponents' eyes as interference. But by all appearances, the WWF was going to run with Hulkamania, who knows maybe Forever. Throughout the match, Yokozuna seemed to have complete control. A bear hug looked to squeeze the life out of Hogan, before a belly-to-belly suplex was cause for a nearfall. Hogan would gain some momentum though and hit his signature leg drop. He tried twice to bodyslam Yokozuna, bringing back images of his slam on Andre. We all thought he'd hit it, he'd bodyslam the 550-pounder. On his third try, just when it seemed he was going to get him up for a slam, an accomplice of Mr. Fuji dressed as a cameraman jumped onto the ring apron, ready to take Hogan's picture when kabloom! His camera lens erupted in flames onto Hogan, laying him out for the oncoming leg drop that would win the WWF Championship for Yokozuna. He'd go on to add insult to injury, by dropping a Bonzai Drop onto Hogan and setting the stage for a New Generation. Kids at the arena were in tears. And it would be the last time we'd see Hogan in a WWE ring until 2002.
