WWE Royal Rumble 2000: 6 Observations From Triple H Vs Cactus Jack

3. Attitude Era World Title

Sparing the possibility of a huge debate here, I€™m going to stop short of calling the attitude era heavyweight championship belt as one of the most beautiful belts ever produced by WWE. The belt is iconic, and at the time of this matchup, it was rivaling the Big Gold championship belt being used by WCW. To see these two belts join forces following Vince McMahon€™s purchase of WCW was a dazzling sight for championship belt fanatics. Tonight however, the street fight prize was the WWE title, with the hushed bombshell purchase of WCW looming in the very near future. Some guys are built to look good with a belt, while others just don€™t look right with certain ones. Unless our eyes have become trained, Triple H with a championship belt goes hand in hand. This particular strut to the ring on January 23rd, 2000, to take on a deranged Cactus Jack for the eagle belt at the Garden, reminds us of a great time in professional wrestling. And for the record, the Big Gold belt will always be number one in my book.
