Then: Davey Boy Smith's wrestling career was coming to an end when he jogged out for a 15-minute shift in the Rumble. He was a shadow of his former greatness by 2000, and wouldn't really achieve much more before leaving the WWF in May.

Now: Two years later, The British Bulldog was dead. He passed away on holiday in Canada on 18 May 2002, and the wrestling world was left mourning the loss of yet another son. Smith was 39 years old when he passed.
