Then: Gangrel had done an admirable job of preparing Edge and Christian for life without him when he worked in the 2000 Rumble. They'd moved on to bigger things, and he plodded on as a respectable mid card act for a few more years.

Now: By "a few more years", this writer should actually say, "for years and years". Gangrel continued working non-stop after leaving the WWF in 2001 and ended up having a few more short runs with the promotion up until 2007. He's still working the indy scene today.
