10. John Cena
Thought I would get this one out of the way first. At the last Wrestlemania John Cena faced The Rock in a 'once in a lifetime' showdown, which he proceeded to lose. Cena is currently coming to the end of burying Dolph Ziggler with his 'Supercena' act, and as yet has had no interaction with The Rock at all, nor with CM Punk for some time. He has been out of the WWE Title picture for a while, but I fear that is all about to change. At the Royal Rumble, I predict that The Rock will beat CM Punk for the WWE Title. I am not saying I want that to happen, far from it. If that happens, the odds are stacked in favour of John Cena winning the Royal Rumble, setting up Cena vs Rock II for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania. Say what you will about Cena taking on Rock again, and about the issues of throwing the title into the mix, but WWE profited big when they last met, and it would be no great surprise for them to simply rehash that winning formula. Cena will want another pop at The Great One, WWE will enjoy the media exposure that comes with having the title on movie star Dwayne Johnson, and creative will have it easy writing their feud. If Punk v Rock is the main event, headlining the show and coming on after the Royal Rumble itself, I think the odds of Cena winning are even greater (more on that later). Rock will win the title, Cena will come out having won the Rumble, and the classic staredown will take place. It really does write itself.
