4. Daniel Bryan
In my opinion, nobody came on further in 2012 than Daniel Bryan. He was World Heavyweight Champion, feuded with CM Punk for the WWE Title, and is currently one half of the tag team champions along with Kane. But what has been most surprising is the character he has managed to build for himself. He is now seriously over with the live crowd, and has managed to establish himself as one of the most must-see superstars in the WWE. The time is ripe to push him into the main event. If he took the victory, the crowd would be massively behind him. The time is right to bring his storyline with Kane to a close one way or another, and for them to drop the tag team gold to a team who need it more, such as Team Rhodes Scholars. Bryan would then be free to break through the glass ceiling back into the main event picture. He deserves a Wrestlemania moment after his humiliation at the hands of Sheamus last year - a moment which actually served to establish him rather than bury him. Who he would face is up for debate, but the sight of Daniel Bryan conquering all other superstars and standing tall at the close of the Royal Rumble would be a moment many fans would go crazy for.
