5. MVP
Arguably the most likely return out of these outsiders is MVP. The skilled wrestler was getting better and better in the ring when he last left WWE - it always seemed as if he would be back one day. That day could be now. CM Punk recently tweeted the former star to say he was looking forward to seeing him at the Rumble. Now then, that could of course mean anything. Maybe MVP will simply be backstage at the Rumble visiting old friends... Or maybe MVP is making a full on comeback and Punk accidentally let it slip. Time will tell. MVP returning at the Rumble does seem to come up every year since the star left. It is almost part of the traditional Rumble build itself now to beg the question of if MVP will return. The irony is that if he was to comeback he would probably almost instantly disappear into the midcard. He would become just another guy very quickly. But WWE need the guys like that, and MVP would be a great addition to the fuel that keeps the WWE engine going ... keep your eyes peeled for him in the Rumble tonight.
