WWE Royal Rumble 2014: 10 Superstars Who Could Return
2. The Undertaker
The Royal Rumble has always been heralded as the beginning of WrestleMania season. But for me, that distinction lies with the return of The Undertaker. Taker's undefeated streak has taken center stage at Mania for quite some time now. Every year he seems to be on his way down and every year he finds a way to fight back. Just when you think The Deadman has breathed his last in a WWE ring, he sits back up and destroys his opponent. And the truth is that many fans are likely expecting him to return much later than right now. We could actually be looking at March before he comes back to setup his match at WrestleMania 30. A little over a month is what we're used to seeing in terms of the time it takes for WWE to bring him back and promote his bout at Mania. But what if he came back much sooner? Imagine The Shield standing in the ring, after having cleared it of other Superstars. Just as they smile and bump fists, the lights go out. And when they come back up, The Phenom is there. Seeing The Undertaker dispose of the three men that took him out of action last year would be a sight that would definitely be worth the price of admission. It would begin the road to WrestleMania and even if Taker did not appear again until March, the truth is that his appearance would get the wheels rolling and provide fans with a very memorable Royal Rumble moment.
