WWE Royal Rumble 2014: 10 Superstars Who Could Return
6. Kane
Since relinquishing his mask to Stephanie McMahon on Raw, Kane has been the corporate monster of WWE. As the Director of Operations, Kane has answered only to The Authority. He has been given free reign to run the program in their absence and to take charge of the situation when no one else will. In other words, Kane is not Kane at all. But could that change at the Rumble? Kane has said that the hood is retired, that he has moved on with his life in WWE. And the fact is that he may be right, as fans have not seen him in full gear since the night he surrendered himself to The Authority. He seems more than content to just sit back and take his marching orders from Triple H. But I believe that he will eventually get back in the ring. And barring any unknown plot twist that could occur before January 26, the fact is that he will likely be with The Authority when the Rumble happens. And while I don't really see him turning on them anytime soon, I do believe that he could still be a surprise entry to the match. And if he does, he may not be the same Kane that well all recognize. The truth is that he could actually enter the match and carry out his business wearing a suit and tie. While this may not be the Big Red Machine that fans want to see, it would still be good to watch him back in the ring. He would be a potential target for anyone crazy enough to take out their frustrations on. After all, Kane represents The Authority and that group has done everything in their power to make life hard for anyone not named Randy Orton. Kane could end up being The Authority's complaint department as he takes to the ring and assaults anyone that believes they're being mistreated. And that could take must of the Rumble to sort out.
