WWE Royal Rumble 2014: 10 Superstars Who Could Return

5. Triple H

Why in the world would The Game enter himself into the 2014 Royal Rumble? The truth is that Triple H has all but retired from the ring now. His best days and his biggest matches are all behind him and as Chief Operating Officer of WWE, he has no real reason to trade in his power suit for a sledgehammer. But the fact is that Triple H has one man that will not stop until he gets revenge. And that man is CM Punk. CM Punk's character believes that he has been thrust into his rivalry with The Shield as a result of his issues with Triple H. He feels that The Game's unofficial security detail has targeted him due to his public defiance of The Authority one more than one occasion. For CM Punk, there can be no doubting just who is behind his war with The Shield. But The Shield have been unable to silence him. Punk continues to be the rebel that fans have always known and he keeps voicing his opinion on the company's authority figures at every turn. And that is why Triple H could decide to lace up the boots for a surprise Royal Rumble return. Imagine the match down to the point where Punk is perhaps surrounded by The Shield. It looks as though The Best in the World is outnumbered, outgunned and on his way out of the match. Suddenly Triple H's music hits and he enters the ring to physically decimate Punk while The Shield keep watch. The Royal Rumble would be the perfect time to lay the groundwork for Triple H versus CM Punk at WrestleMania 30 and seeing The Game in the Rumble would only add to the drama.
