WWE Royal Rumble 2014 Results And Analysis

Overall Score And Summary Of Royal Rumble 2014

This event was pretty much what I expected. In fact my predictions were 100% on apart from Bray Wyatt winning. The real story of the night became the crowd because they were merciless in supporting Daniel Bryan and hating everything else. Personally, I wasn't too distraught at Batista winning. I'm willing to give the WWE the benefit of the doubt €“ bigger things may be in store for Daniel Bryan, notably some speculation linking him with an Undertaker match at Wrestlemania 30. The Rumble could have all been a big angle, Vince McMahon is said to be a huge Bryan fan so I would guess a twist could be in store yet. If anything, Roman Reigns should have won. In 2005 Vince McMahon gave a similar unproven big man the Rumble win, and that guy was Batista. In 2014 Batista has won again, this time denying a new star the chance to be made. The event as a whole was enjoyable. The opener was a match of the year contender even at this early stage of 2014. There wasn't a whole lot wrong with the title match and the Lesnar angle was effective. The Rumble wasn't the best ever, nowhere near, but it was still an enjoyable hour. Overall Score: 85%Match Of The Night: Bryant Vs Wyatt Angle Of The Night: Lesnar destroys Big Show Three Stars Of The Show:1. Daniel Bryan €“ He was the key worker in the best wrestling match and dominated the rest of the show in sheer level of being over. 2. Bray Wyatt €“ It was a hell of a match and with the Cena angle, Bray became a major player on this night. 3.Roman Reigns €“ A record 12 eliminations, this guy is a star. Watch out for him.
