This is what we all paid the money for, the Royal Rumble matchup. 30 men would enter, one every 90 seconds, and we started with CM Punk and Seth Rollins. That's great booking as both men are top in ring workers. The action started out solid, with Sandow in at number 3 and Cody Rhodes at number 4. Unfortunately Punk eliminated Sandow shortly afterwards. Sandow has a lot of potential so it was a shame to see him get such little exposure. Kane was in at 5 which was a nice surprise. He came to the ring in his suit trousers, minus his shirt and jacket. It's good to see him in the ring again because his on-air role is painfully dull. It wasn't long, however, until Punk had dispatched of his nemesis over the top rope. Next up was NXT wrestler Alexander Rusev. This was a good bit of booking €“ the Bulgarian looks a beast and came in destroying everyone. He stuck in the mind which was exactly what WWE were hoping for. Jack Swagger was in at number 8 for a nice flurry of Swagger bombs before becoming lost among the crowd. Kofi Kingston entered next €“ can you believe this is his sixth Royal Rumble? The audience is used to his traditional Rumble spot now, so it was exciting to see Kofi in. Jimmy Uso and Goldust joined the fray ... Continued on next page ....
