WWE Royal Rumble 2015: 10 Biggest Rumours
3. Randy Orton Returns From Injury
"The Viper" Randy Orton has not been seen on WWE programming since last November, when he was brutally and violently assaulted and excommunicated from The Authority. Despite making his return to the squared circle during the company's Holiday Tour the weekend of Christmas, the multiple time WWE champion has yet to appear on television.
That could all change come January 25 as Orton is prominently featured on the Royal Rumble poster and various other marketing materials.
And what better time for The Viper to make his return?
The Royal Rumble match is traditionally the setting for monumental returns and surprises, and none would be bigger, from a storyline perspective, than that of the third-generation star.
After being booted from The Authority in the manner that he was, it would make complete sense to see him return late in the bout and eliminate former associate Kane, with whom he could easily feud with in February as WWE finalizes plans for him leading into the Showcase of the Immortals.
If Orton does not return during Sunday's main event, expect to see him make his presence felt the following night as The Authority finds itself on the receiving end of yet another threat from a Superstar they have wronged in the past.
