WWE Royal Rumble 2015: 10 Reasons The Undertaker Might Return

2. One More Run

WWE have done this once before with hulk Hogan so why not with Taker? Back in 2002, Hogan returned to the WWE with the NWO. After a short run with the group he battled The Rock at WrestleMania X8 which showed he was as popular as ever. Hogan was supposed to be the heel in the match but turned out to be the undeniable babyface as nostalgia and Hulkamania ran wild in Toronto. At the subsequent Backlash, Hogan defeated Triple H for the WWE Undisputed title in a move that once again galvanised the WWE Universe. He would lose the belt just over a month later at Judgement Day against Taker. Taker's return would undoubtedly cause a similar reaction to that of Hogan's over 13 years ago. Like Taker, Hogan's body was beat up but he managed a pretty decent run as champion before bowing out of the main event scene. Having Taker win the Rumble and win the big one at Mania is quite frankly stupid. But sometimes, the best angles in WWE have an element of stupidity at their core. Yet again, this is fantasy booking at its most extreme but would give The Undertaker that last home run before he hangs his boots up for good.
